The following six tables list Event Log events related to Communicator Web Access.

The following table lists Communicator Web Access error codes related to internal service errors.

Invalid Format

The Communicator Web Access request is in an invalid format.

18001

Invalid Request

The Communicator Web Access request is an invalid request.

18100

Session Not Found

The Communicator Web Access session cannot be found.

18101

Request Throttled

The Communicator Web Access request has been throttled.

18102

Invalid Operation

The Communicator Web Access request has performed and invalid operation.

18201

OCS Failure Response

The Office Communications Server has failed to respond.

18202

Invalid OCS Message

The Office Communications Server has provided an invalid message.

18203

OCS Response Timeout

The Office Communications Server response has failed to complete within the allowed time.

18301

Connection Failed

The Communicator Web Access connection has been lost.

18302

TLS Failed

The Communicator Web Access Transport Layer Security (TLS) connection has failed.

18400

Internal Failure

The Communicator Web Access server has experienced an internal failure.

The Communicator Web Access authentication module started successfully.

AUTH_EVENT_ISAPI_SHUTDOWN

The Communicator Web Access authentication module was unloaded.

AUTH_EVENT_INITIALIZATION_FAILED

The Communicator Web Access authentication module failed initialization during virtual server startup. The virtual server needs to be restarted after the problem has been corrected.

AUTH_EVENT_MULTIPLE_USER_ENTRIES_FOUND

While a Communicator Web Access user was being authorized, multiple user objects for the user were found in Active Directory.

AUTH_EVENT_HOME_SERVER_NOT_FOUND

The home server specified in the Active Directory service for a Communicator Web Access user could not be found.

AUTH_EVENT_BIND_GC

An Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) session has been established between Communicator Web Access and a global catalog server for performing user authorization.

AUTH_EVENT_BIND_DC

An LDAP session has been established between Communicator Web Access and a domain controller for performing user authorization.

AUTH_EVENT_BIND_DISCONNECT

Lost connectivity to an Active Directory server. An LDAP session with the Active Directory server was disconnected. Attempting to locate an available server and reconnect. If a reconnect is successful, a success event log will be posted.

AUTH_EVENT_BIND_GC_FAILURE

An attempt to establish an LDAP session between Communicator Web Access and a global catalog server failed. When a connection is available, a success event will be posted.

AUTH_EVENT_BIND_DC_FAILURE

An attempt to establish an LDAP session between Communicator Web Access and a domain controller failed. When a connection is available, a success event will be posted.

AUTH_EVENT_LOGON_SERVER_UNAVAILABLE

No domain controller could be contacted when performing authentication during user sign-on.

The Communicator Web Access session service cannot establish or maintain mutual TLS (MTLS) connection to the Office Communications Server.

E_SERVICE_LCS_TRUST_FAILURE

The Communicator Web Access Server is not trusted by the Office Communications Server.

E_SERVICE_LCS_CONNECTION_FAILURE

The Communicator Web Access Server is not able to connect to the Office Communications Server.

E_SERVICE_ENDPOINT_EXCEP

The Communicator Web Access Server encountered an internal exception. The server has handled this event and will continue to run normally. If this event occurs frequently, please contact Microsoft Customer Service and Support to report the event.

E_SERVICE_LCS_OPERATION_TIMEOUT

The Office Communications Server does not respond in a timely manner to requests from the Communicator Web Access Server.

E_SERVICE_MTLS_CERT_NOT_CONFIGURED

The Communicator Web Access MTLS certificate is not configured.

E_SERVICE_MTLS_LOCAL_CERT_NOT_FOUND

The Communicator Web Access MTLS local certificate cannot be found.

E_SERVICE_MTLS_NEGOTIATION_FAILED

The Communicator Web Access MTLS negotiation with another server has failed.

The Communicator Web Access MTLS remote certificate has expired.

A Communicator Web Access virtual server configuration instance was invalid and could not be loaded.

When attempting to load the configuration policy, the policy instance for this Communicator Web Access virtual server could not be found.

POLICY_EVENT_NO_POLICY_INSTANCES_FOUND

When initializing during startup, no valid policy instances were found in the WMI event store.

POLICY_EVENT_POLICY_UPDATE_INVALID

A WMI policy instance change was detected and there was an error reading the resulting policy instance. Configuration instance was not properly defined in the WMI policy store.

POLICY_EVENT_LANGUAGE_UPDATE_INVALID

A supported language configuration instance change was detected and there was an error reading the resulting instance. Supported language instance was not properly defined in the WMI policy store.

POLICY_EVENT_LANGUAGE_INSTANCE_INVALID

A supported language instance in the WMI policy store was invalid and could not be loaded.

POLICY_EVENT_CONFIG_INSTANCE_UPDATE

A virtual server configuration instance was successfully modified. Configuration instance in the WMI policy store was modified.

Communicator Web Access has established an LDAP session with a global catalog server for performing directory searches.

E_DIRSRCH_BIND_DISCONNECT

Connectivity between Communicator Web Access and a global catalog server was lost. The LDAP session used for Directory Search was disconnected from global catalog server. The session is attempting to locate an available global catalog server and reconnect. If reconnection is successful, a success event will be posted.

50302

E_DIRSRCH_QUEUE_EXCEEDED

A Communicator Web Access Directory Search operation failed because it exceeded the configured maximum number of outstanding searches.

50303

E_DIRSRCH_BIND_FAILURE

A bind between Communicator Web Access and a global catalog server could not be established. When a connection to a global catalog server is available, a successful event will be posted.
