Installing Server Prerequisites (Command Line)

Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 and Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2 will reach end of support on January 9, 2018. To stay supported, you will need to upgrade. For more information, see Resources to help you upgrade your Office 2007 servers and clients.

The steps up until this point need to be done only once. The following steps are prerequisites that will need to be installed on every server in the Office Communications Server deployment (other than the domain controller and the SQL Server Back End server).

To install server prerequisites

  1. Install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable.

    vcredist_x64.exe

  2. Install the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1.

    dotnetfx35.exe

    A restart will be required at this point.

  3. Install the SQL Server Native Client.

    sqlncli_x64.msi /qr

  4. Install Office Communications Server 2007 R2 Core Components. This file is located in the Setup folder.

    ocscore.msi /qr

  5. Install Unified Communications Managed API 2.0 Redistributable. This file is located in the Setup folder.

    UcmaRedist.msi /qr
