Front-End Server Installation (Command Line)

Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 and Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2 will reach end of support on January 9, 2018. To stay supported, you will need to upgrade. For more information, see Resources to help you upgrade your Office 2007 servers and clients.

The Front-End Server always contains Office Communications Server, the Application Host, and the Conferencing Attendant, Conference Announcement Service, Outside Voice Control, and Response Group Service. Other server roles can be on the Front End Server, but these steps assume installation of only the base server roles, tools, and applications.

Note

These steps show how to install and activate the four applications (Conferencing Attendant, Conference Announcement Service, Outside Voice Control, and Response Group Service). All supported configurations require that you install all these applications, but you need to activate only the applications you will be using.
