Installing Single Sign-On Server

CCF provides Single Sign-On to enable user credentials to be shared across all applications/services hosted in the CCF Server.

Following are the prerequisites for the CCF sign-on on a machine:

  • Windows Server 2008 or Windows Server 2003 with the latest SP - for the CCF framework.
  • Microsoft Internet Information Server 6.0 or 7.0 – to manage CCF Web services
  • SQL Server 2008 Standard Edition, SQL Server 2008 Enterprise Edition, SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition SP1, or SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Edition with Reporting Services, which is used for database development and management.

To install ESSO:

  1. On the Product CD, click Setup.

  2. In the Welcome window, click Next.

  3. In License Agreement window, read the End User License Agreement, select the agree button, and click Next.

  4. In the Customer Information window, enter the User Name and Organization and click Next.

  5. In the Installation Environment window, select the Install CCF Components and click Next.

  6. The Custom Setup screen is displayed.

  8. In the Custom Setup screen, select the Server Components > ESSO.

  9. Optionally, you can change the installed path by click on Change and choosing an alternative path.

  10. In the Ready to Install screen, click Install to start the installation.

  11. The Post Installation Scripts screen is displayed after the installation is complete.

  12. Click Next in the Post Installation Scripts screen to complete the installation.

  13. Click Finish. This creates a folder in the path specified with the ESSO installers.

  14. Run the Setup.exe file in the <InstallDir>\Program Files\CCF 2009\ESSO\.

  15. In the Start dialog box, click on Install Microsoft Enterprise Single Sign-On Server on this computer.

  16. In License Agreement window, read the End User License Agreement, select the agree button, and click Next.

  17. In the Component Installation window, select the components you want to install and click on Next.

  20. In the Summary window, click on Install the install the selected components.

  21. In the Installation Completed window, click Finish to close the installer.
