DCS Server Requirements
The following table describes the basic hardware configuration required for the Microsoft DCS SP1. These are general guidelines only; customers should use hardware configurations appropriate for their own scenarios and requirements for performance and scalability.

Software Requirements
DCS requires that you also install the following software. Use the links to locate information about the required components, including information about hardware requirements, deployment, and configuration.
- Windows Server 2008 or Windows Server 2003 with the latest service pack.
- Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2007 – For system requirements, go to https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb309428.aspx.
- SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition SP1 or SQL Server 2008 Enterprise Edition.
- Microsoft SQL Server Compact 3.5 – For system requirements, go to https://www.microsoft.com/Sqlserver/2005/en/us/compact.aspx.
- Visual Studio 2008 or Visual Studio 2005 SP1– Ensure you have Visual Studio Developer edition installed on your machine.
