Creating a New Skill

To create a Skill, use the following steps:

  1. In the Admin Console, expand the root node *<machineName>*in the left-hand tree pane.

  2. Click the Skills Node.

  3. Right-click on the blank area of the List View pane on the page and click New then Skill.

  4. The Add New Skill Wizard window is displayed. On the welcome screen, click Next.

  5. The Add New Skill Wizard (Step 1 of 2) screen is displayed as shown. The administrator can enter the general details of the new skill.

  8. Type the Name of the skill (mandatory field) and click Next to continue.

  9. The Add New Skill Wizard (Step 2 of 2) screen is displayed as shown below. The administrator can associate available agents with the skill.

  12. Select one or more agents in the Available list and click the > assignment button to associate agents with the channel. Selected agents are added to the Selected list.

  13. Click Finish to create a new skill association.

The administrator can cancel the creation of a new skill at any time by clicking Cancel.
