BuildProxy

This entry stores a Boolean value that, when set to False, modifies the service deployment so that it will not create a proxy. The default value is True. Typically, this setting is used to turn off proxy generation for the service during deployment when the client is using the proxy created by the WCF Svcutil.exe tool.

To view or modify this value

1. Start Visual Studio, and on the Tools menu, click Options.

2. On the left pane, under DCS, click Service Publishing. The Proxy setting appears on the right side of the page (see Figure 156).
