Installing CCF Core Services on a Windows 2003 machine

Following are the prerequisites for the CCF core server on a Windows 2003 machine:

  • Windows Server 2003 with the latest SP - for the CCF framework.

  • Microsoft Internet Information Server 6.0 or 7.0 – to manage CCF Web services

  • Microsoft MMC 3.0.

  • Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 or 3.5 available from Microsoft – You can verify whether you have .NET Framework 3.0 installed by either of the following methods:

    1. On a machine that is not a server or does not have IIS installed, open Windows Explorer and navigate to <install Drive>\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework. If .NET 3.0 is installed, the folder is listed with the version number v3.0.
    2. Click on Start -> Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs. Ensure Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 is available in the list of programs.

To install CCF 2009 SP1 Server Components:

  1. On the Product CD, click Setup.

  2. In the Welcome window, click Next.

  3. In License Agreement window, read the End User License Agreement, select the agree button, and click Next.

  4. In the Customer Information window, enter the User Name and Organization and click Next.

  5. The installer checks for any previous CCF installations, and displays an appropriate machine. If you want to upgrade an existing installation of CCF, click on Update else click Next. For more information about upgrading your CCF environment, see Upgrading from a Previous Version of CCF.

  6. In the Installation Environment window, select the Install CCF Components and click Next.

  7. The Custom Setup screen is displayed.

  9. In the Custom Setup screen, select the following components of and click on Next:

    • Admin Console
    • Server Components > CCF Server Web Services
    • Server Components > Citrix Server Component
    • Server Components > SCOM
  10. Optionally, you can change the installed path by click on Change and choosing an alternative path.

  11. Note

    You should not change the default path for Web Services component (C:\Inetpub\wwwroot</STRONG>).

  12. Click Next to display the installation prerequisite check dialog box.

  13. The installation checks for the availability of prerequisites and displays a report. The prerequisites that are not available are marked with an error symbol. Ensure you have all the prerequisites installed and click OK.

  1. In the Server Configuration window, enter the server information and click Next.

  2. Note

    CCF 2009 only supports default and named instances for SQL Server, and not aliases. Ensure you enter only the default or named instance in the SQL Server (\Instance Name).

  3. In the CCF Services – Application Pool screen, enter the password for ASPUSER and click Next. ASPUSER is the domain account that is used to run the Application Pool in IIS. In case you are using a different domain account, enter the user name and password appropriately.

  1. Optionally, you can select Create User in the screen to create a new user. You will be prompted to confirm the password. Enter the password and click on Next.

  2. In the Ready to Install screen, click Install to start the installation.

  3. The Post Installation Scripts screen is displayed after the installation is complete.

  4. Click Next in the Post Installation Scripts screen to complete the installation.

  5. Click Finish. You will have to restart the machine for the changes to take effect.
