Managing DCS Services
This chapter provides information about Microsoft Management Console (MMC), and explains how to use MMC to configure DCS services, including the Discovery Service and service policies that control context, business logging, and caching. First, however, the chapter explains the roles of the DCS Dynamic Messaging Patterns and the Discovery Service, which are fundamental components for client-server communication.
The procedures and examples in this chapter are based on Windows Server 2003; however, the process is very similar in a Windows Server 2008 environment.
