Citrix Support

CCF allows interaction with Citrix applications through a Citrix application hosted control. Currently, CCF 2009 SP1 supports the following Citrix versions:

  • Citrix Server: Citrix XenApp Server 5.0, Citrix Presentation Server 4.5, or Citrix Presentation Server 4.0.
  • Citrix Client-side component: Citrix XenApp for Hosted Apps 11.0, Citrix Presentation Server Client 10.0, or Citrix Presentation Server Client 9.0.

Hosting Citrix-published applications requires the installation of one server-side component per Citrix server, and one client-side component per hosted application. On the server side, an executable file is configured as a startup program that starts whenever the corresponding Citrix-published application starts. The startup program stops as soon as it discovers that the application has not been started from the CCF Citrix client-side component.

The client-side component is implemented as a CCF hosted control named CitrixApplicationHostedControl. You can use CitrixApplicationHostedControl without modifying it, or you can extend it to suit your environment. An action fired at the CitrixApplicationHostedControl is transmitted to the server-side component, which dispatches it to any configured application adapters.
