Repairing a hard drive

You can repair a hard drive from the Server Storage tab of the console,.

If you select an unhealthy hard drive and then click Repair, the Repair a Hard Drive Wizard starts. It attempts to fix errors by doing the following:

  • Scans the hard drive by using the CHKDSK utility to verify the integrity of the hard drive.

    Note

    CHKDSK is a Windows program than can detect and repair errors on a hard drive.

  • Corrects disk errors, if possible.

  • Rebuilds shared folders duplication, if necessary.
