Reset the Password of a User Account

To reset a user password using Active Directory Administrative Center

To open Active Directory Administrative Center, click Start , click Administrative Tools , and then click Active Directory Administrative Center .
To open Active Directory Users and Computers in Windows Server® 2012, click Start , type dsac.exe .
Note Another way to open Active Directory Administrative Center is to click Start , click Run , and then type dsac.exe . -
In the navigation pane, select the node that contains the user account whose password you want to reset.

In the management list, right-click the user whose password you want to reset, and then click Reset password .

In the Reset Password dialog box, type and then confirm the password.

| If you want to require the user to change this password at the next logon process, select the User must change password at next log on check box. |
