Summary

This architecture white paper discusses the fundamental concepts and development methodologies of the Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) paradigm and its implementation in BizTalk Server 2004. Specifically, the paper looks at the SOA implementation within two particular contexts: the design, behavior, and functionality of the BizTalk Server applications that are created; and the application development process itself. The paper also describes how BizTalk Server development tools bridge the SOA paradigm and the .NET framework architecture.
