Create an Administrator Password

You can use this procedure to create an administrator password after you have installed Windows Server® 2008 R2.

On the Windows start page, beneath the text The user’s password must be changed before logging on the first time, click OK.

The Administrator credentials page opens. In New password, type a password. In Confirm password, retype the password.

If you want to create a password reset disk, click Create a password reset disk and follow the instructions.

In the Administrator credentials page, click the blue arrow.

A message that states Your password has been changed appears. Click OK.
