Place a Mailbox on Legal Hold

Topic Last Modified: 2011-03-19

A legal hold preserves deleted mailbox items and records changes made to mailbox items. Deleted and changed items are returned in a discovery search.

You need to be assigned permissions before you can perform this procedure. To see what permissions you need, see the "Legal hold" entry in the Messaging Policy and Compliance Permissions topic.
