Deploy the Yammer Web Part (SharePoint Server 2010)

In Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010, you can deploy a Yammer Web Part to a SharePoint site. This Web Part adds a real-time social layer to SharePoint that drives user engagement and enhances SharePoint social capabilities. The Yammer Web Part provides:

Company Feed Viewing all messages within your Yammer network.

Group Feed Allows targeting of content to a specific Yammer group.

My Feed Provides a fully contextualized view of Yammer, and the ability to browse and create groups.

User Feed Displays an individual’s user feed or provides additional social context to My Profile pages on the user’s My Site.
The Yammer Web Part for SharePoint Server 2010 also provides other functionality like search and the ability to customize features such as notifications.

Download the Yammer Web Part
To deploy and install the Yammer Web Part, you will need to download a solution package from the Yammer success center. This package contains the installation files and documentation needed to use the Yammer Web Part in a SharePoint Server 2010 site. You can download the package (Yammer for SharePoint 2010 3.1.4) at Yammer for SharePoint. There is also the ability to deploy the Yammer Web Part to Microsoft SharePoint Online. The download location listed above also provides a solution package for SharePoint Online.
