Supported Configurations
This Monitoring pack requires System Center Operations Manager 2007 R2 or later. A dedicated Operations Manager management group is not required.

Before Import
It is recommended that you deploy Application Virtualization (App-V) 5.0 before importing this monitoring pack. However this monitoring pack will discover the App-V (Management, Publishing, Reporting) server infrastructure as it is deployed. To supplement the monitoring of your Application Virtualization 5.0 environment import and configure the monitoring packs for Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) and SQL Server that correspond to the versions used in your App-V deployment. The App-V Supported Configurations are noted in the previous section (Supported Configurations).

Monitoring Pack Scope
The scope of this Monitoring pack includes:
Discovery of the following Application Virtualization 5.0 Services: Management, Publishing, Reporting.
Monitoring of the Application Virtualization 5.0 Services:
In-place monitors for critical failure events.
In-place monitors for dependent Windows services.
Collection of significant Application Virtualization Events.
Mandatory Configuration
If the Application Virtualization 5.0 Reporting functionality has not been previously deployed you must disable Reporting Service Discovery. For information about how to override a discovery – review the Discovery Configuration section of this document.
