Reinstalling Message Analyzer

In certain instances, you may need to reinstall Message Analyzer, or you might simply want to install the latest version of Message Analyzer to take advantage of recent changes and improvements. Prior to a Message Analyzer reinstallation, you have the option to manually uninstall your existing version from Programs and Features in Control Panel, or you can simply allow the Message Analyzer installer to detect your existing installation and offer the Upgrade option. Moreover, if you happen to have a Beta version of Message Analyzer, be sure to manually uninstall it as indicated, because it cannot be overwritten. Also, be sure to read and comply with the following warning to avoid the loss of user data.

Warning  If you are reinstalling Message Analyzer, be sure to back up any custom OPN parsers or OPN Configuration Files for Textlog adapters that you have created, as this user data will be lost when you uninstall Message Analyzer. When reinstallation is complete, restore these user files to their current directory location.

To obtain the latest version of Microsoft Message Analyzer, go to the Microsoft Message Analyzer page on the Microsoft Download Center. On this site, you will find details, system requirements, brief installation instructions, and related resources.
