Installing the Remedy ARS Provider

You can install the Remedy ARS Provider on any computer that has the Remedy User Application installed. You must have local administrator rights on the system on which you are installing.

To install the Remedy ARS Interop Provider

  1. Run the SciProviderSetup.msi command to start the Provider Setup wizard.

  2. Read and accept the license agreement.

  3. On the Select Provider page, select Install BMC Remedy 6.3 Provider or Install BMC Remedy 7.1 Provider, and then click Next.

  4. Click Next.

  5. Click Finish.

Support for Remedy 7.5.

Support for Remedy 7.5 is only available through the Operations Manager 2007 R2 Connectors Cumulative Update 2/QFE2. For more information, see KB2274165 on the Microsoft Download Center. You must install the Remedy 7.5 Provider using the full provider MSI included in the QFE2 update.

Before you begin:

  1. The Remedy 7.5 Provider must be installed on a server running a Windows Server operating system.

  2. If you plan to install the Remedy 7.5 Provider on a stand-alone server, you must install the Remedy 7.1 User application on this system.

  3. If you plan to install the Remedy 7.5 Provider on the Remedy server itself, you do not have to install the Remedy 7.1 User application.

To install the Interop Providers

  1. Run the SciProviderSetup.msi located in the Remedy7.5 Provider directory of the update package.

  2. Read and accept the license agreement.

  3. On the Select Provider page, select Install BMC Remedy 7.1/7.5 Provider, and then click Next.

  4. On the Custom Setup page, ensure the Remedy 7.1/7.5 Provider is selected to be installed, and then click Next.

  5. On the Ready to install Microsoft Operations Manager 2007 Interop Provider page, click Install.

  6. Click Finish.

You have to install the Connector Service for the BMC Remedy 7.1 Connector through the Connection media and then apply the QFE2 update after the Connector has been installed.
