Layer Visibility Page, Map Dialog Boxes

Set Visibility options to control the display for a map layer.

Options

  • When the report is initially run
    Select an option to indicate whether to show or hide an item when a report first runs.

  • Show
    Select this option to show the item.

  • Hide
    Select this option to hide the item.

  • Show or hide based on a zoom value
    Select this option to vary the initial visibility based on the map viewport zoom level.

  • Show or hide based on an expression
    Select this option to vary the initial visibility by using an expression. Type an expression that evaluates to one of the following values:

    • Visible   Displays the layer.

    • Hidden   Hides the layer.

    • ZoomBased   Displays the layer if the map viewport zoom level is between minimum zoom and maximum zoom inclusive.

    Click the Expression (fx) button to edit the expression.

  • Minimum zoom
    Select a percent zoom level that controls whether to display this item if the map viewport zoom level is below this value.

  • Maximum zoom
    Select a percent zoom level that controls whether to display this item if the map viewport zoom level is above this value.

  • Transparency
    Select a value that controls the opacity of this layer. Use higher values to make the layer more transparent. To set the layer for no transparency, type 0.
