Configuring an RD Session Host Server to Provide Redirection to Virtual Desktops

To provide users access to virtual desktops through RemoteApp and Desktop Connection, you must configure a Remote Desktop Session Host (RD Session Host) server to provide redirection to the virtual desktops. Virtual desktops include virtual machines in virtual desktop pools and personal virtual desktops.

To configure an RD Session Host server to provide redirection to virtual desktops, you must do the following on a computer that is running Windows Server 2008 R2:

Install the Remote Desktop Session Host Role Service (for Redirection)
