How to Write or Update Data into the AMT Data Storage

Applies To: System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R2, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R3, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP2

Use the following procedure to write and update data into the AMT data store by using the Configuration Manager out of band management console. You must have an AMT User Account that has Data Storage and Data Storage Administration enabled. The data store can hold up to 4096 bytes in ASCII characters. For more information about the AMT user settings, see How to Configure AMT Settings and AMT User Accounts.

The information in this topic applies only to Configuration Manager 2007 SP2.

To write or update data into the AMT data store for an AMT-based computer

  1. Connect to the resource using the out of band management console.

  2. Click Data Storage, type the data into the Data Storage area, and then click Save.
