Restoring a client computer

To restore the entire hard drive of a client computer, use the Home Computer Restore CD. The Home Computer Restore CD contains the files that you need to start a client computer.

| Before you begin, connect your client computer to the network with an Ethernet network cable. Do not attempt to use a wireless connection. |

Insert the Home Computer Restore CD into the client computer that you want to restore.

Restart the computer, and boot from the CD.

Follow the instructions in the Restore Computer Wizard.

| Windows Home Server does not restore a backup to a different client computer that has dissimilar hardware. |
