Windows Media Server Web-based Administration Configuration

Applies To: Windows Server 2008 R2

Windows Media Services - Web Administrator is a complete Web site that is hosted on your Windows Media server by Internet Information Services (IIS). It has most of the functionality of the Windows Media Services snap-in, so that you can perform common tasks such as creating and starting publishing points, monitoring publishing point activity, and configuring plug-ins. You can access the Web Administrator Web site from any browser that supports Active Server Pages (ASP) and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), such as Windows Internet Explorer. For more information, see Administering Windows Media servers remotely.
