Users and Groups, Functions Tab (Master Data Manager)

Use the Functions tab to assign a user or group permission to functional areas of the user interface.

For users, permissions can be explicitly assigned or inherited from group memberships.
For groups, permissions are explicitly assigned.

Controls

Control Name	Description
Permissions	Displays options for viewing function access. Possible views are: User only: Displays functions assigned explicitly to the user User and inherited from group: Displays both of the functions assigned explicitly to the user and those inherited from group memberships
Available functions	Displays all available functions.
Assigned functions	Displays all functions to which the user or group has access. Note An asterisk indicates that the function access is inherited from a group. Update the user's group to remove access to the function.

Permissions

Displays options for viewing function access. Possible views are:

User only: Displays functions assigned explicitly to the user
User and inherited from group: Displays both of the functions assigned explicitly to the user and those inherited from group memberships

Available functions

Displays all available functions.

Assigned functions

Displays all functions to which the user or group has access.

Note

An asterisk indicates that the function access is inherited from a group. Update the user's group to remove access to the function.

Button Name	Description
Back	Returns to the list of users or groups.
Edit	Enables changes to the user's or group's function access.
Save	Saves changes. This button is available after you click the Edit button.
Save and continue	Saves changes and opens the Models tab. This button is available after you click the Edit button.
Cancel	Cancels changes. This button is available after you click the Edit button.
