Element Name Description

Lifetime timeout

Select the check box and then type a value (in minutes) in the text box that specifies how long the selected playlist is available to clients.

Note
If the total length of all media assets referenced in the playlist exceeds this value, clients are disconnected before the playlist ends. Also, if you specify a Session life span value in the Edit Feature Settings dialog box that is shorter than this value, clients are disconnected after the session life span is reached.

Inactivity timeout

Select the check box and then type a value (in minutes) in the text box that specifies how long the clients can remain connected to the Web server but not actively download media entries referenced in the selected playlist.

Note

If you specify an Inactive session timeout value in the Edit Feature Settings dialog box that is shorter than this value, clients are disconnected after the inactive session time-out is reached.
