How do I create a Custom Recovery Set?

The recovery sets that are included with DPM System Recovery Tool are suitable for most situations. However, you can create custom recovery sets that protect specific volumes, tailored to your requirements. For example, if you need to protect volumes that are not system volumes, you can create a custom recovery set with the Recovery Set Wizard.

To create a custom recovery set

  1. Launch the Recovery Set Editor.

  2. From the File menu, click New. This launches the New Recovery Set Wizard, which will walk you through the process of creating a custom recovery set.

    Note

    You must save the new recovery set in the DPM System Recovery Tool installation directory so that the Schedule Console can access it.
