Configuring HTTPS inspection in Forefront TMG secure Web gateway

The topics in this section provide information on the configuration of HTTPS inspection in Forefront TMG secure Web gateway.
The HTTPS inspection feature is part of the Forefront TMG Web access policy. You can use it to implement one of two protection types:
Inspection of HTTPS traffic and validation of HTTPS site certificates.
Certificate validation only.
The steps required for configuring HTTPS inspection depend on the protection type you select to implement, as described in the following topics:
Enabling and configuring the HTTPS inspection feature—Describes the steps required for both protection types.
Managing HTTPS inspection certificates—Describes the steps required if you select to implement inspection of HTTPS traffic only; they are not required if you select to implement HTTPS inspection for certificate validation only.
Notifying users of HTTPS inspection—Describes the steps required for users to receive notifications when HTTPS traffic is being inspected by Forefront TMG. This may be necessary to comply with corporate privacy policies or with state law.
