How to Create Custom Labels

You can assign custom labels to your tapes using the New Protection Group Wizard or Modify Protection Group Wizard.

Creating a custom label

On the Customize Recovery Goal dialog box, change the default tape name.

Important

You must set the Number of backup copy option before you change the tape label. Otherwise, the name will be reset and DPM will number the tapes in serial order.
