Upgrading from Forefront TMG Evaluation to RTM

There are two ways to upgrade from the Evaluation version of Forefront TMG to the full version:

Insert the DVD for the full version of Forefront TMG and run the installation (no need to uninstall the evaluation version first). Forefront TMG will reinstall and your configuration will be kept.

Important

You cannot run this installation from a network share.
Alternatively, you can uninstall the evaluation version first, and then install the full version of Forefront TMG. If you also want to keep your configuration settings, make sure to export the configuration from the root node before uninstalling the evaluation version of Forefront TMG, and then import the configuration after installing the full version of Forefront TMG.
