Add, edit, or remove a FAST Search Lotus Notes user directory connector configuration

Add a configuration

  1. Copy the configuration template lotusnotessecuritytemplate.xml that is located in the FAST Search Server 2010 for SharePoint installation etc folder, typically C:\FASTSearch\etc. Give the copied template a new unique name, for example MyLotusNotesSecurityConfig.xml. Keep the file in the etc directory.

  2. Configure the parameter settings for your environment in an XML editor of your choice.

  3. Save the configuration file in UTF-8 format. Make sure the file is located in the etc directory of the FAST Search Server 2010 for SharePoint installation folder.

  4. The FAST Search Lotus Notes user directory connector configuration is now added. The user directory connector has to be run in order for the configuration to be activated.

Edit a configuration

  1. Open the configuration file that needs to be edited from the etc directory of the FAST Search Server 2010 for SharePoint installation folder.

  2. Make the necessary edits in an XML editor of your choice, and save the changes in UTF-8 format.

  3. The user directory connector has to be run in order to activate the changes in the configuration.

Remove a configuration

  1. Navigate to the configuration file in the etc directory of the FAST Search Server 2010 for SharePoint installation folder that needs to be removed. Delete the file.
