Devicestoredirect

Applies To: Windows Server 2008 R2

This setting determines which supported Plug and Play devices on the client computer will be redirected and available in the remote session when you connect to a remote computer by using Remote Desktop Connection (RDC).

This setting corresponds to the selections for Other supported Plug and Play (PnP) devices under More on the Local Resources tab under Options in RDC.

Value Explanation

No value specified

Do not redirect any supported Plug and Play devices.

Redirect all supported Plug and Play devices.

DynamicDevices

Redirect any supported Plug and Play devices that are connected later.

The hardware ID for the supported Plug and Play device

Redirect the specified supported Plug and Play device.

No value is specified for the default value.

To redirect all supported Plug and Play devices, type:

devicestoredirect:s:*

To redirect any supported Plug and Play devices that are connected later, type:

devicestoredirect:s:DynamicDevices

To redirect a particular camera and any supported Plug and Play devices that are connected later, type:

devicestoredirect:s:USB\VID_04A9&PID_30C1\6&4BD985D&0&2;,DynamicDevices
