Recovering SharePoint Web Application

Applies To: System Center Data Protection Manager 2010

Use the procedure in this topic to recover a protected Web application in Windows SharePoint Services 3.0.

Create a Web application in the target farm.

Note
If you want to retain the same URL for the application, ensure that the host header and port are the same as the original application.

Restore all the databases in that Web application to either the original location or to a different SQL Server.
Attach each content database to the Web application by using the stsadm command or from the Central Administrator site
