Uninstalling Groove Server Relay

You can uninstall the Microsoft Groove Server 2010 Relay application from the Windows Control Panel, as with other Office products.

To uninstall Groove Server Relay

  1. Stop the Groove Relay service.

  2. Open the Windows Control Panel and select Programs and Features.

  3. Select Microsoft Groove Server 2010 Relay.

  4. Click the Uninstall button.

  5. Restart the server if prompted to do so.

The following files remain in the default install directory (or other specified directories) until explicitly deleted:

  • Private key files and related certificate files (in the Data subdirectory of the Groove Server Relay installation directory by default)

  • Relay server data files (in the Data subdirectory of the Groove Server Relay installation directory by default)

  • Groove Server Relay custom registry settings, such as the server name, location of the key files, and a hash of the startup password for decrypting the server private key file if unattended startup was configured
