Installation cmdlets (FAST Search Server 2010 for SharePoint)

Installation cmdlets provide specialized functionality for your FAST Search Server 2010 for SharePoint configuration. Use them to reinstall an administration database that was corrupted, to create firewall rules, or to configure the FAST Search Server 2010 for SharePoint local instance. You will rarely have to use these cmdlets.

Installation cmdlets

Note

To use the cmdlets, verify that you meet the following minimum requirements: You are a member of the FASTSearchAdministrators local group on the computer where FAST Search Server 2010 for SharePoint is installed.

Task Cmdlet

Install the database used by the FAST Search Server 2010 for SharePoint administration services.

Reinstall (destructively) the database schema.

Upgrade the database schema from an earlier version.

Install-FASTSearchAdminDatabase

Uninstall the administration services database and all the data in it.

Uninstall-FASTSearchAdminDatabase

Create or delete firewall rules to configure Internet Protocol security (IPsec) for the local machine.

Set-FASTSearchIPSec

Configure the local instance of FAST Search Server 2010 for SharePoint.
