Troubleshooting E-Mail Notifications (Master Data Services)

Notifications are based on Database Mail. To troubleshoot Database Mail, see Troubleshooting Database Mail.

When you configure notifications for Master Data Services, you might encounter any of the following issues.

Users do not receive e-mail

Users do not receive version status change e-mails

A user must be a model administrator to receive notifications when a model's version status changes. For more information, see Administrators (Master Data Services).

Users do not receive business rule validation e-mails

A setting in Master Data Services Configuration Manager determines the URL that is included as a link in notification e-mails. You can adjust this setting in Master Data Services Configuration Manager or directly in the System Settings table. For more information, see System Settings (Master Data Services).
