Clearing Batches Workflow (Master Data Services)

When you clear records from the staging tables, the records are queued for deletion before they are deleted.

In Master Data Manager, you initiate the removal of staging records on the Import page by clicking Clear selected batch. In the batch table (mdm.tblStgBatch), the Status_ID field is updated to 4, which indicates that the batch is queued to clear. After all rows for the batch have been deleted from the staging tables, the batch table’s Status_ID field is updated to 5 to indicate that the process is complete and the LastClearedDTM field is updated with the date and time.

The row in the batch table remains as a record of the batch.
