To minimize the risk of the Forefront UAG server being compromised, it is important that the latest security updates and hotfixes are installed on your Forefront UAG servers. On a weekly basis, you should check that all critical updates and hotfixes have been installed on your Forefront UAG servers. It is recommended that you test security updates in a test environment before you deploy them in your production environment.
The following are examples of the types of updates whose availability you should check on a weekly basis:
|These should be applied as soon as possible depending on company policy.|
Updates should be applied uniformly across servers and workstations in the organization.
|When applying updates, you may be required to reboot the Forefront UAG server. The Forefront UAG server should be taken offline if a reboot is required.|
