Allow a Single User to Log on to Multiple Stations
Some MultiPoint Server environments might require a single logon account for all stations on a computer that is running MultiPoint Server. This can be done by changing a Remote Desktop Services host configuration setting to enable one user account to log on to multiple sessions and run them at the same time.
When you use this configuration, the behavior of each multiple user session can be somewhat different from a session with a unique logon account. For example:
If a user account, for example User1, is used to log on to more than one station, each session will be different. However, the profile is still shared, including the Desktop folder and the Documents folder. This means that if a file is stored on the desktop by one of the sessions using the User1 account, that same file will appear on the desktop of all of the other stations that are using the User1 account.
Some programs might not be able to run at the same time in multiple sessions that are using the same user account.
Use the following procedure to allow a single user account to log on to multiple stations.
To allow a single user account to log on to multiple stations
Log on to MultiPoint Server as an administrator.
On the Start menu, click Administrative Tools, click Remote Desktop Services, and then click Remote Desktop Session Host Configuration.
On the Remote Desktop Session Host Configuration page, under Edit Settings, double-click Restrict each user to a single session.
On the General tab, clear the Restrict each user to a single session check box, and then click OK.
