In Forefront Online Protection for Exchange (FOPE), you have the option to encrypt you email if you subscribe to the Exchange Hosted Encryption service. Exchange Hosted Encryption is an email encryption service that helps to safely deliver your confidential business communications. The service enables users to send and receive encrypted email directly from their desktops as easily as regular email, to anyone, at any time.
Email encryption settings include the following:
Enabled – Encrypt and Decrypt Policy Rules can be configured for this domain.
Disabled – Encrypt and Decrypt Policy Rules cannot be configured for this domain.
In the Forefront Online Protection for Exchange Administration Center, click the Administration tab.
Under Administration, click Domains, and then click the domain that you want to manage.
Under Domain Settings, next to Domain Services, click Edit.
In the Domain Services dialog box, under E-mail encryption, select Disabled or Enabled, and then click Save.
To view a video that describes how to configure and use Exchange Hosted Encryption, see How to Use Exchange Hosted Encryption. For information about how users can read and send encrypted emails, see Create, Read, or Reply to an Encrypted Message.
