Applies To: Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012

ImportantImportant
This setting has been deprecated in Windows® 8.1. The information about this deprecated setting is provided for reference only.

DisplayQuickPick specifies whether the Search Scope appears as a Quick Pick icon. When a user types a search, and then clicks on the Quick Pick icon, then Internet Explorer® searches using that Search Scope.

true

Specifies that a Quick Pick icon is created to link to the Search Scope.

This is the default value.

false

Specifies that a Quick Pick icon is not created.

For a list of the supported Windows® editions and architectures that this component supports, see Microsoft-Windows-IE-InternetExplorer.

The following XML output shows how to create a Quick Pick icon for one Search Scope. In this example, the second Search Scope will show a Quick Pick icon.
