You can use the goals below to determine your preferred method for managing an existing network.

To accomplish this management goal, you need to deploy Network Policy Server in addition to your network access servers. For more information, see Network Policy Server (NPS) at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=154883.

To accomplish this management goal, you can use Network Diagnostics Framework and Network Tracing. For more information, see Network Diagnostics Framework (NDF) and Network Tracing at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=187530.

To accomplish this management goal, you can use Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP), which works on heterogeneous TCP/IP–based networks. For more information, see Simple Network Management Protocol at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=187531.
