  • Specify the Remote Desktop licensing mode on an RD Connection Broker server.

  • Specify a license server for an RD Connection Broker server to use.

  1. Log on to RDCB-SRV as CONTOSO\Administrator.

  2. Click Start, point to Administrative Tools, point to Remote Desktop Services, and then click Remote Desktop Connection Manager.

  3. In the Notification area, under Virtual Desktops: Resources and Configuration, for RD Licensing click Specify.

  4. On the Licensing Settings tab of the Properties dialog box, select Apply the following settings to all servers, and then click Per Device.

  5. In the Specify a new license server, and then click Add. box, type rdl-srv, and then click Add.

  6. Click OK to save your changes to the licensing settings.

You have configured the RD Connection Broker Server to Support RD Licensing. Now you can proceed to Step 6: Verifying RD Licensing Functionality.
