Accessing Duet Enterprise for Microsoft SharePoint and SAP using Microsoft Office 2010 Premium applications

End-users might encounter an error message in Microsoft Outlook 2010 when they open a workflow task if the URL in the email message (workflow task URL) is not trusted by Internet Explorer. Use this procedure on the computer of each end-user to add the URL of the host name of each Web application that contains a workflow site with which the end user will interact to the Intranet zone in Internet Explorer.

For example, if the URL to your workflow site is http://contoso/sites/Portal/Tasks/default.aspx, you would use the URL http://contoso.

To add a URL to the intranet zone in Internet Explorer

  1. Open Internet Explorer.

  2. On the Tools menu of the Command Bar, click Internet Options.

  3. In the Internet Options dialog box, on the Security tab, click Local intranet, and then click Sites.

  4. In the Local intranet dialog box, click Advanced.

  5. In the Add this Website to the zone box, type the URL of the Web application that contains workflow sites with which the end-user will interact.

  6. Click Add.

  7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 for each additional Web application that contains a workflow site with which the end-user will interact.

  8. Click Close

  9. Click OK to close the Local intranet dialog box.

  10. Click OK to close the Internet Options dialog box.

Accessing SSL enabled sites

If the customer-facing zone of any Web applications that surface SAP content, such as the Duet Enterprise for Microsoft SharePoint and SAP sites, are secured by using SSL, the computers that are used by end-users who have to access these SSL-enabled sites must have the SSL certificate installed. This is typically done by using a domain policy, but it can also be performed manually by each user.

Client computer prerequisite for offline scenarios

End-users can use Microsoft Office Premium applications to take Duet Enterprise for Microsoft SharePoint and SAP content offline. However, to support this offline scenario, a hotfix must first be installed on each client computer in which Duet Enterprise for Microsoft SharePoint and SAP content will be taken offline. This hotfix applies to computers that are running Windows Vista and Windows 7.
