On your server running Exchange Server, configure a dedicated SMTP connector to route email to the MX record for your hosted archive:
Archive service: mail.messaging.microsoft.com
Hosted archive domain: mail.messaging.microsoft.com
Archive service: emea.mail.messaging.microsoft.com
Hosted archive domain: emea.mail.messaging.microsoft.com
Configure the SMTP connector to use DNS to discover the IP address, and to establish 50 or fewer concurrent connections per outbound IP address.
Configure the transport layer security (TLS) on the SMTP connector to encrypt any outbound traffic.
