Repair a LAN or High Speed Internet Connection

You can use the procedures in this section to attempt to repair the following types of connections.

LAN connections

Wireless network connections

Broadband Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet (PPPoE) connections
Before performing one of these procedures, you can also take the following steps:

If relevant, verify that the status lights on your digital subscriber line (DSL) or cable modem are indicating a good connection to your Internet service provider (ISP).

If the lights are not correct, try turning off the device and turning it back on.

If the lights still do not indicate a good connection, contact your ISP.
