Installing Forefront UAG SP1

This topic describes how to install Forefront Unified Access Gateway (UAG) Service Pack 1 on your existing Forefront UAG single servers.

To install Forefront UAG SP1, you must be a member of the Administrators group on the local computer.

Note the locations of the Setup log files that can help you to troubleshoot installation issues:

  • Setup log files for Forefront TMG are located at %windir%\Temp.

  • Setup log files for Forefront UAG are located at %ProgramData%\Microsoft\UAG\Logs.

To install Forefront UAG SP1

  1. Double-click the UAG-KB2285712-ENU.exe file.

  2. Restart the server.

  3. Start the Forefront UAG Management console, the Getting Started Wizard starts automatically so that you can configure Microsoft Update settings.

  4. Click Join Microsoft Update.

  5. On the Use Microsoft Update for Forefront UAG page of the wizard, select whether or not to use Microsoft Update to get updates for Forefront UAG, and then click Next.

  6. On the Customer Experience Improvement Program page of the wizard, select whether or not to participate in the Customer Experience Improvement Program, and then click Next.

  7. On the Completing the Server Configuration Wizard page of the wizard, click Finish.

  8. On the Getting Started Wizard, click Close.

  9. Activate the configuration.
