Planning to deploy Forefront UAG DirectAccess for SP1

It is recommended that you complete the following tasks before deploying Forefront UAG DirectAccess:

  1. Verify that your server meets the hardware requirements, as described in System requirements for Forefront UAG servers.

  2. Before installing Forefront UAG, plan your deployment according to the recommendations that are described in the Forefront UAG DirectAccess planning guide.

  3. Ensure that you have completed all of the Forefront UAG DirectAccess prerequisite requirements, as described in Forefront UAG DirectAccess prerequisites for SP1.

  4. Check any limitations and issues described in Release notes for Forefront UAG SP1.

After you have completed the above tasks, follow the instructions for installing and configuring Forefront UAG DirectAccess, as described in Implementing a core Forefront UAG DirectAccess deployment for SP1.

After you have completed the core Forefront UAG DirectAccess deployment for SP1, follow the instructions for configuring optional settings, as described in Implementing Forefront UAG DirectAccess optional settings in SP1.
