Topic Last Modified: 2011-01-24
To specify the host and port for connecting to Microsoft Lync Server 2010, in Microsoft Lync Server 2010, Group Chat Configuration tool, click the Lync Server tab in the System Wide view.
This tab contains the following settings:
- Host Identifies the address of the computer that hosts Lync Server 2010. The identification method depends on the edition of Lync Server. For Microsoft Lync Server 2010, Standard Edition, this box uses the fully qualified domain name (FQDN) of the server. For Microsoft Lync Server 2010, Enterprise Edition, this box uses the name of the pool. This address must be the same name that is on the server certificate.
- Port Identifies the port that is used to connect the computer running Microsoft Lync Server 2010, Group Chat. To automatically connect to the correct port, select the Auto detect port check box. We recommend that you select the Auto detect port check box.
Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Administrative Tools, and then click Lync Server 2010 Group Chat.
Open the Microsoft Lync Server 2010, Group Chat Configuration tool.
On the File menu, click Configure Server Settings.
On the left side of the console tree, click System Wide, and then select the Lync Server tab.
Modify the host and port settings as required.
