Device Update Web service Architecture

Device Update Web service runs on Web Services. As with Web Services, there is one instance of Device Update Web service running in each pool. When you make a configuration change to Device Update Web service, it is propagated to all of the servers in the pool. Lync Server Enterprise Edition may have multiple servers in the pool. Lync Server Standard Edition has one server in the pool.
